Senior Software Engineer, Frontend

We're looking for a Senior Front-End Engineer to build commerce experiences used by thousands of stores across 43 countries, multi-tenant SaaS where a single front-end decision plays out at massive scale.

You'll be a technical reference for your team: setting front-end direction, leading real evolutions of our products, and working shoulder-to-shoulder with engineers, product managers, and designers to turn customer and market needs into shipped experiences. What you build runs 24/7 for businesses that depend on it, so performance, resilience, and craft are non-negotiable.

We have several front-end openings across different domains at VTEX; you'll join the one where your strengths fit best, all building commerce experiences at scale on a composable platform.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Lead meaningful evolutions of our front-end products, from idea to shipped, with PMs and designers;
• Build and maintain large-scale, resilient front-end applications that run 24/7;
• Set the bar on front-end quality: architecture, testing strategy, performance, accessibility;
• Act as a technical reference, mentor other engineers, and take an active part in hiring;
• Use AI as a daily multiplier in your workflow, with judgment about its limits and responsible use.

WHO YOU ARE

• A strong front-end engineer with a track record of building and evolving large-scale, resilient applications that run 24/7;
• Deep proficiency with modern front-end: TypeScript, React and Next, GraphQL, and CSS3;
• Solid command of automated testing: the different types and when to use each;
• Experience as a technical reference: guiding teams, setting front-end direction, and lifting the engineers around you (including a hand in hiring);
• You connect technical choices to customer and business impact;
• You're hands-on and curious about AI: you use LLMs, automation, and design/dev tools to boost speed, quality, and clarity, while staying thoughtful about their limits, safety, and responsible use;
• Advanced English and Portuguese;
• Based in any Brazilian city;
• Experience in commerce is a plus.
